Transformative Agreements (TA) are contracts negotiated between institutions (libraries, national and regional consortia) and publishers that shift publishing from a subscription-only model towards a full Open Access (OA) model.
Under such agreements, the institution typically covers both:
Subscription costs for access to journals;
Article Processing Charges (APCs) for OA article publication.
