How to update Zotero settings for Open Athens
The EUI Library has changed the authentication method for accessing e-resources, from proxy to OpenAthens.
If you are using Zotero, you must update your settings.
Follow these instructions:
Zotero settings – Proxy
In Chrome
- Please locate the Zotero Icon
- Right-click on it and select Options
- In the Proxies section, delete the proxy configured by clicking on the "minus" sign
In Firefox

Please locate the Zotero active icon
- Right-click on it and select Preferences
- In the Proxies section, delete the proxy configured by clicking on the "minus" sign
If you continue to experience issues, you may need to update the Zotero extension in your browser.
